Melanie Mark is the Vancouver-Mount Pleasant MLA. For those who don’t know her you can read more about her below. However. When we watched her on Sunday May 22 on Constituency Report on Shaw TV many of us were shocked that she only hired female staff in her office.
What happened to equality?
If an MLA only hired male staff there would be an uproar and a witch hunt. We would be very upset also if it was all male. Could she not hired one male? Are we, as many report, living in a matriarchy? You notice below there is no mention that her office is all female staff.
Melanie Mark is a Canadian politician, the first First Nation woman elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia; Melanie Mark is a British Columbia New Democratic Party MLA representative for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant. She was elected on February 2, 2016 in a by-election, winning with 61% of the vote and defeating BC Liberal Party candidate Gavin Dew and Green Party of British Columbia candidate Pete Fry. She campaigned on providing better assistance for low-income people, the lack of affordable housing, the precarious job market, and rising tuition, medical-services, and B.C. Hydro fees. She developed a grassroots campaign based on working on issues of social injustice
Please contact Ms. Mark and ask her why she did not hire one male
