The streets of Kelowna will be full of shopping carts and colour at the fifth annual Push to End Homelessness Race this month.
The May 28 event is one of the biggest fundraisers for Inn From The Cold, and organizers are looking for participants now.
They are looking for teams of two to six people with a goal of having fun and fundraising for a good cause.
“This can be a workplace team, school team, church group, book club or families,” says one of the event organizers Eva Weston.
“It’s a great team-building event and we have both adult and youth categories with tons of prizes available.”
The event has raised between $17,000 and $20,000 for the shelter in past years and the event organizers are hoping to reach that again.
The money raised from the event goes towards all of Inn from the Cold’s programs with the main bulk going towards the shelter.
